Cool Tricks.

I skipped the article mentioned in the last update in favor of another for tomorrow - goes up at midnight. It's about something that isn't known to everyone, but those who do recognize it should be excited. How do you like all this mystery talk?

Speaking of mystery, a friend sent me a pretty cool trick today. Wanna play? I'll post the first step here, and finish it off in the extended version of this entry:

Count the number of F's in the following text:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE
RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC
STUDY COMBINED WITH THE
EXPERIENCE OF YEARS

After you've counted them, click 'more.'

How many did you get?

Three?

WRONG.

There are six 'F' letters in the statement. Read it again...

I got four. The first time I read it, it felt wierd, like there should’ve been more F’s. So I did it again, counted four. Did it three more times, only counted four. Zany.

Anyone notice that Sy-Clone is refered to as "Tornado" in one of the panels of the comic?

They probably were going to call him Tornado originally and couldn’t trademark it. Same thing happened with Dr. Mindbender, they call him the wrong name in part of his file card.

I read through it and counted 4, so I got one F but not the other 2 (I missed the first OFs, the ones in the 2nd row) but something felt wrong, so I went over it again slowly and carefully, and managed to get 6. But the whole time, the process seemed very difficult, which confused me at the time, considering I was just counting Fs. Makes sense now, though. I know that when i read, I tend to skip over names. I tend to remember characters more by their descriptions, which shouldn’t work, but somehow does. Yeah…the brain…weird. This is way too long. Sorry.
