X-Entertainment is still feeling pretty bad about those lobsters.

11/13/2002: It’s tough.

The Double Dragon Character Database is up, and you can check it out by clicking here. I really can’t believe how long it took to put that one together – the graphics alone took over four hours, between finding sprites from the game, enlarging them, and fitting them into the format I wanted. You’d think I’d have gotten better with graphics by now, but I’m still pretty shitty. Since the post took eleven years to finish, I started wondering if maybe I’m on the wrong track here. Maybe I’m pushing myself too hard. Maybe I should do something that seems easier. I dunno, maybe start a webcomic or something.

Eh, maybe not.

I think the link should be 0698 not 0678 (not that the Madballs article isn’t funny of course :-) ). Anyway keep up the funny stuff Matt.

Great work on the DD article, it brought back great memories of pummeling friends in the playground (who can forget the legendary "hair-pull kick"). Up until SF2, this was pretty much _the_ macho game for kids.

Very funny article but I couldn’t help but notice Matt you wrote "pinecomb" when you really meant "pineCONE". I think it could be one of these thingss people misunderstand for years and years and are then horrified to learn the truth about. We’ve all had them right?

nearly ecvery day for the last few weeks i come home from work to find another great xe article.

cheers matt.

i wass never much of a dd fan, having played every version but the nes one, just to see what the fuss was about.

btw. a great dd style game (but more fun in my opinion) was river city ranson for the nes.

its really good. i dont know if you have the rom or not though.

Articals = good

Until this article, I always thought that "Abobo" was "Adobo" and that he was a giant pork dish come to life.

Thanks for setting me straight.

I knew it was I, was just going a long with it… good ol’ internet, you can never read sarcasm. But he labored a made a comic strip over it…. so whoooooo hoooooo my fan-ship finally paid off.

The action figures talking are deffinately the best ones though. I hope to see another one of them soon… or not… your the boss Matt

Hey, at least I now know that the dudes name is Abobo and not Adobo.
One of the nets many big misstakes.
